Evening Prayer January 18, 2024

Father in Heaven,
 
Holy are you, Lord God Almighty, for you alone are worthy of all glory, honor and praise.
 
You fill our hearts and our lives with joy. Lord, You are our joy. We have no need for alcohol, drugs, or the many other things we use and do, thinking they will bring us joy and happiness, for we have You and You are all we need. We are thankful that we have Your joy with us no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in, good times or bad. We even have Your joy in the face of persecution, and even in the face of death. We have joy unspeakable and full of glory which is in You, and is You.
 
Hear our prayers, Lord, in the precious name of your Son, our Lord and Savior,

Father in Heaven,
 
Holy are you, Lord God Almighty, for you alone are worthy of all glory, honor and praise.
 
Holy, holy, holy, are You merciful and almighty God. We fall to our knees before You for You are the Eternal One, He Who was, He Who is, and He Who is yet to come. We recognize You as the One Who created the entire universe and all it contains. We are awestruck that You, Who created it all with a Word, when the time was right, entered into the world You created as a tiny, helpless little baby. This is more than our limited minds can hope to comprehend. All we can do is accept what You've told us, believe, and trust You that everything You've said and done is true.
 
Hear our prayers, Lord, in the precious name of your Son, our Lord and Savior,
